After the initial backup, the SE software backs up your critical data using technology that copies only the bytes that have changed in your files and databases, using incremental patching. How it works

• The Server software is installed onto a server residing on your network. This can be an existing server or one specifically installed for the purpose.
• The software is configured to determine which files across your whole network are to be backed up and at what time. Encryption keys known only to yourself are installed.
• The initial dataset is passed through the Server software, deduped, compressed and encrypted.
• This initial dataset is passed via the internet to the secure state of the art Primary Data Centre (PDC) in London where all files can be viewed.
• Your data is logged, stored and a copy can be mirrored to the Secondary Data Centres (SDC).
• Automatically at the scheduled time, all changes that have been made to files since the last backup are deduped, compressed, encrypted and passed to the PDC.
